Camp Activities

All of the activities at FGC Summer Camp take place on the beautiful grounds of University of Miami. Each day at FGC consists of meaningful hands-on structured activities that will further instill discipline along with a passion for the arts. Each girl participates in different activities daily within their age group. (All activities are included with tuition)

Arts & Crafts
The campers attend the arts & crafts session for an hour three times a week. Most crafts are designed to correlate with the theme of the week. All girls have an excellent opportunity to display individual creativity. Art projects are designed to match the abilities of each age group. The older groups will work on a project 2 to 4 days.
Dance:
Dance will take place three times a week. Dances will be choreographed according to each group. If your child prefers not to partake in the dance classes, please send us a note so that we are able to accommodate an alternative activity for her.
Field Trips:
Every year we try to go to new locations in the South Florida region. Transportation will be provided by licensed MDCPS school buses. Trips are carefully planned and adequately supervised to provide a safe environment. Parents are welcome to accompany the teachers on this day with prior notice. (Please note field trips are planned prior to opening day so they will not be rescheduled.)
Musical Theater:
Girls will be exposed to age appropriate vocal selection from a variety of musical genres. Introduction to percussion/stomp, & choreography from a Broadway Selection.
Cooking:
All girls will cook age appropriate foods once a week. Foods will vary from session to session.
Outdoor Activities:
Free style games, parachute, kickball, hop scotch and much more are some of wide range of activities that take place on the field adjacent to our building. Please note outdoor activities are limited to 30 minutes a day.

Recreational Swimming:
Once a week we will visit the University of Miami Pool, for a two hour splash session. Professional lifeguards and directors will be supervising at all times.
